Leaders Against Litter, Keep Ouachita Parish Beautiful, Keep Monroe Beautiful and Keep West Monroe Beautiful, all affiliates of Keep Louisiana Beautiful, have announced they will host the kickoff to the Great American Cleanup on Saturday, March 31, 2018.

The Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest annual community improvement program. Activities include picking up litter, planting trees and flowers, recycling drives and educational programs.

On that day, the Ouachita Parish community is encouraged to take part in keeping the region clean and litter free by participating in a number of community-wide cleanups and beautification projects.

Volunteers are being sought to participate in the Great American Cleanup. Residents, businesses, churches, civic and school groups are all encouraged to take part in local cleanup and beautification efforts.

For more information about any of these cleanup efforts or to register, please call Keep Ouachita Parish Beautiful at (318) 327-1345, ext. 3018; Keep Monroe Beautiful at (318) 329-4983 and Keep West Monroe Beautiful at (318) 323-5700.

Those individuals or groups that register as a participant in the Great American Cleanup will be given supplies.
